On Friday, March 2, the Social Enterprise Association and the Luxury & Retail Club will co-host the 7th Annual Think Social, Drink Local (TSDL), a social-impact oriented runway show and party. As the Vice President for TSDL, I am excited to invite you to join us for an unforgettable evening. This year, the event will return to the breathtaking Angel Orensanz Foundation on the Lower East Side, a converted 19th century synagogue.
TSDL 2012 is focused on New York-made apparel and locally produced food and beverage offerings. The event highlights the economic impact of locally-minded consumption and the importance of production jobs and small businesses to a thriving community.
Attendees will enjoy an incredible party with a fashion show featuring New York-based designers, including Theory, Nanette Lepore, and Tucker, modeled by members of the Stern community. We are especially excited to welcome Deans Cunningham, Fraser, and Mittman back to the catwalk.
By attending TSDL, you will not only enjoy a memorable night, but also support a fantastic initiative. The Social Enterprise Association and the Luxury & Retail Club will donate proceeds from the event to the NYU Stern Social Innovation Internship Fund (SIIF). SIIF provides funding for graduate business students who choose to spend their summers volunteering for non-profits or small businesses that cannot afford to pay them for their work. I hope you will join us on Friday, March 2nd.
