Hello from the Desk of the Oppy!
The school year is almost over, and most of us are rushing to finish projects, studying for final exams or looking for job leads. Despite the end-of-year whirlwind, we hope you’ll find a quiet moment to peruse the latest issue of the Oppy.
We’ve got a lot of great content for you, including a review of this year’s Stern Follies event, which by all accounts was frighteningly good (it was held on Friday the 13th, after all).
We’ve also got photos from the Spring Gala event for full-time students, information on how to separate a middling black and white cookie from a great one and news from the Association of Hispanic and Black Business Students’ sixth annual Charity Date Auction, where MBA2 Jordi Monso sole the show by bringing in the highest bid in the event’s history -- a cool $1,650.
Finally, we want to extend our warmest thanks to Dean Gary Fraser, a steadfast supporter of the Oppy who will leave Stern at the end of this academic year after 12 years of dedicated service to the school. Dean Fraser will take a new role as Assistant Dean and Executive Director of MBA Career Services at the USC Marshall School of Business, and their gain will be our loss. Best of luck Dean Fraser -- we will miss you!
Arjun and Roland
