Stern second-year students Chris Cramer, Denis Cranstoun, Justin Kenlon, and I began the 2010 ACG Mergers and Acquisitions Case Competition with a singular mantra, “Beat Cornell.” That mantra guided them from the punishing all-nighters to the grueling inquisitions at the hands of mergers and acquisitions professionals during the final round.

While most Stern students were enjoying a restful weekend before finals period, MBA 2Veronica Clemens, flew to California to run and WIN the women’s title of the Big Sur International Marathon with an impressive time of 2:55:18. We’re not the fastest runners, but we managed to catch up with Veronica to offer our congratulations and hear a bit more! Tell us a few details about the marathon! The marathon was in Big Sur, California, the course is point to point from Big Sur to Monterey along Route 1.

On Friday April 30th, The Stern MBA Soccer Team traveled to Dartmouth, NH to participate in the 2010 Tuck MBA World Cup from May 1 – May 2. The team played a total of six 60-minute games in two days and captured the championship trophy after beating the Tuck MBA Soccer team in the final by a score of 2-1.
