This was my second year working with the Global Business Conference 'GBC' (last year as the VP and this year as the Co-Chair). Last week when we finally successfully concluded the ninth annual GBC, I thought that I was finally done. That was not to be, apparently, no conference is complete without a fair coverage in Oppy.

On February 27th, the MBA Media and Entertainment conference (MEC) was hosted on Columbia University's campus. The 2009 MEC's goal was to bring together the nation's top MBA students and media, entertainment and related companies. The principle aim was to foster informative dialogue about, and enhance networking within, the film, music, broadcast and cable television, sports and publishing industries.

On Sunday, February 22, more than 160 students, faculty and alumni went all in for the 5th annual Stern Charity Poker Tournament, raising nearly $8,000 for Project Grad. This year's event, held in Cantor Boardroom and Abbe Bogen at the Kaufman Management Center set event records for both attendance and money raised for charity.
