Along West Fourth Street, Gould Plaza, LaGuardia Place, Schwartz Plaza, in the Kimmel Center’s third floor Eisner & Lubin Auditorium, and in the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.
The Class of 2012, their families and their friends are invited to attend Grad Alley, a Commencement eve celebration marking the accomplishments of NYU’s graduates.
Wristbands for Grad Alley:
Three Grad Alley wristbands, one for the candidate and two for guests, will be included with each candidate’s All-University Commencement tickets.
NYU’s ALL-UNIVERSITY COMMENCEMENT (Tickets required)
Wednesday, May 16
9:45 am: Candidates dressed in academic attire will be admitted into stadium at Gate 8 only.
Guests will be admitted into stadium at Gate 6 only.
11:00 am – 1:00 pm: Ceremony
NYU’s All-University Commencement is for all students graduating from all schools within New York University. Because more than 5,000 students are expected to attend, it is not possible to recognize each graduate by name. Instead, the deans will introduce each class as a whole, and a representative selected in advance will receive a symbolic diploma for each degree category.
Graduates must wear academic attire to participate in NYU’s All-University Commencement and Stern’s Graduate Convocation. The deadline to order academic attire online is Monday, April 16.

To attend NYU’s All-University Commencement, graduates must order tickets online by May 4.

STERN’S GRADUATE CONVOCATION (Tickets required)
Thursday, May 17
Radio City Music Hall
1:45 pm: Graduates arrive dressed in academic attire
2:15 pm: Theatre doors open for guests
3:00 pm – 6:30 pm: Ceremony
Stern’s PhD, MBA and MS graduates are recognized individually at Stern’s Graduate Convocation. A professional photograph is taken of each candidate and mailed to his/her permanent address approximately two weeks after the ceremony. Diplomas will be mailed to candidates’ home addresses.
Tickets to Stern’s Graduate Convocation
Graduating students will not receive a ticket; they will be admitted separately in their academic attire. However, tickets are required for all guests. Full-time MBA, Part-time MBA and BSMS graduates must order guest tickets online by April 10.
* Note: A maximum of three guest tickets may be requested by each graduate.

If you do not receive an invitation in the mail for Stern’s Graduate Convocation or NYU’s All-University Commencement by mid April, first check your status for graduation eligibility with Stern’s Office of Records and Registration. If you do indeed meet the eligibility requirements and still have not received an invitation, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
