Revealing 5 More SCORP Committees

DO YOU STILL WONDER: how to report facilities-related issues? What popular Stern events are yet to come next semester? Or just have an interest in finding out what extra-curricular activities your fellow classmates are involved in? Below is a segment on each of the SCorp Committees and a list of the members. They all have very different purposes and events, so hopefully this segment will clear up some of the questions you may have regarding this component of student life.

Follies Committee The Follies Committee works with Student Activities, SCorp Executive Board, and producer to plan one of the biggest events of the Spring-Stern Follies. The Committee is in charge of marketing, program creation, event production, and DVD sales. International Committee The International Committee represents the international student body. It coordinates and facilitates communication between students, administration, faculty and SCorp. In addition, the committee is responsible for organizing social and cultural events, hosting exchange program visits to Stern, promoting leadership among the international student body, and facilitating resource sharing for the benefit of the entire Stern community. The International Committee also works with Student Activities to plan one of the biggest events of the Spring Semester: Stern Passport Day. The Committee is in charge of the marketing, entertainment, production, and PR for this event. Judiciary Committee The Judiciary Committee includes members from the MBA, Executive MBA, PhD and Langone programs, and ensures that all students know the Honor Code and Code of Conduct. Once a violation complaint is submitted, the Judiciary Committee initiates an investigation and, if necessary, holds a hearing and submits a recommended sanction to the Dean. Legacy Committee The Legacy Committee is responsible for raising awareness of and executing the Class Legacy Gift Campaign. The Committee works closely with the Dean of Students and the Stern Alumni Office. Chairs: Todd Fellerman and Asif Halim Members: Julia Harris Matt Paulus Rebekah Ahn Gianna Shepard

Operations Committee The Operations Committee works with Administration to address deficiencies in Stern's buildings and groups. The Committee is also in charge of fielding requests from students for improvements in the building, publicizing changes/additions to the Kaufman Management Center, make suggestions on how to better meet the needs of students, and communicate upcoming projects to students as well as provide feedback to administration. Partners Committee The Stern Partners Committee organizes events to foster inclusion and build a community among spouses and partners of Stern students. The Committee provides a network of support and resources for students with partners and/or families. Some events include but are not limited to Sunday Brunch, wine and cheese events, picnics, and luncheons. Chair: Lee Meyer Members: Derek Bagozzi Mike Tarulli Matthew White

Technology Committee The goal of the Technology Committee is to act on the students' behalf to continually improve technology at Stern. To this end, the Committee will collect and analyze student concerns and suggestions, propose and initiate task forces to work on major technology issues, and evaluate and propose improvements to the quality of computer services. The involvement of the Stern community raising technology issues, providing suggestions, and proposing solutions is crucial to keeping Stern among the top business schools.
