In January, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) will conduct a luxury branding case competition for first and second year Stern students. Participants compete individually by creating and presenting a mock advertising campaign for the company's fine French liqueur, Grand Marnier. The Luxury & Retail Club is thrilled to inform students that LVMH selected only a handful of the country's top graduate business schools to compete. Other participating schools include: Columbia University, Harvard University, Northwestern University, and University of Pennsylvania.
On Friday, January 27, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, the Grand Marnier Brand Team will present a 45 minute seminar on luxury branding. At the conclusion of the seminar, the company will outline the parameters of the competition. Two weeks later (time and location TBD), Grand Marnier will host a cocktail event during which students will present their work. At the conclusion of the event, the Grand Marnier Brand Team will select a first year and a second year winner.
The first year student and the second year student will each win a happy hour sponsored by Grand Marnier for him or herself and friends. The first year winner will also win a final round interview with the Grand Marnier Brand Team.
The Luxury & Retail Club is currently working with LVMH to finalize the details of the competition, including dates, times and locations. Announcements will be made as additional details are confirmed. For questions, please contact Sandra Singh.
