Bling-Bling at Spring Fling

On the evening of Saturday, April 17th, Sternies left their backpacks at home and attended the Spring Fling dressed to the nines! There was so much fabulousness going on, I could have filled another page with the likes of Ejieme Eromosele (MBA 1), Nadium Nahouli (MBA 2), and Tony Watkins (MBA 1), who were among the many best-dressed for the night.

Alice Chiu, MBA 1

Blue is the new black! I love this navy version of the LBD; it's fresh and totally updated for spring. Everything about this dress works: the length, the material, the neckline and, of course, my favorite part, the spaghetti straps! Alice shines in this classy number by BCBG Max Azria. Alice spoke about her Spring Fling experience.

OR: What did you do to get ready for Spring Fling?
AC: I'm pretty easy when it comes to getting ready for events - quick shower, make-up, and a dress, all while drinking a glass of wine, of course. That's about it!
OR: Tell me about your dress.

AC: I wanted to wear something non-black, but apparently my idea of color is dark blue. I was immediately sold on the dress when I found out it had pockets. Pockets on dresses: best idea ever.

OR: Who do you think was the best dressed Spring Fling-er?
AC: Ms. Orsella Reyes. You were rocking that white dress!
Michelle Wong, MBA 1

Continuing the blue trend, Michelle really stands out in this brightly colored dress. This a color that looks good on almost anyone, but clearly Michelle is still tan from her spring break trek and she looks simply elegant in her one-shoulder, empire-waist dress. Michelle spoke about her Spring Fling experience.

OR: What did you do to get ready for Spring Fling?
MW: I spent most of the day working on my marketing final project, but managed to squeeze in some time to get a mani-pedi right before the event.

OR: Tell me about your dress.

MW: The dress is by Walter and it's from a little boutique in the East Village.

OR: Who do you think was the best dressed Spring Fling-er?
MW: Everyone looked fantastic, but I loved Lauren Staudinger's BCBG spring-print dress and I thought Alan Grantham really pulled off the "glasses and hat look" with his suit - not many people can!

Adam Scott, MBA 2

I heard a rumor that there was this stylish MBA 2 walking the halls of KMC. I finally caught up with Adam at Spring Fling and I'm happy to report he did not disappoint! I can't emphasize enough the importance of having a well fit, quality suit, but it's all the in the details only some would notice: the tie bar and pocket square, both of which are making a comeback thanks to Don Draper in the hit show Mad Men.

Gaurav Verma, MBA 2

A formal event that is not quite black tie attire is a great opportunity for men to wear some color. This is exactly what Gaurav pulled off at Spring Fling. His look says he is not here to interview for a job, he is here to have fun and look great at the same time! Watch and learn, gentlemen.
